Geocomposite made of geomembrane and geotextile
A geosynthetic material made by thermally bonding geotextile and geomembrane.
Geocomposite is made by thermally bonding geotextile (short-fiber needle-punched nonwoven geotextile or filament spunbond needle-punched nonwoven geotextile) with geomembrane(PE or PVC). It is commonly a structure of "single geomembrane composite with one layer geotextile" or "single geomembrane composite with two layer geotextile". Geocomposite combines the high-efficiency seepage prevention performance of geomembrane with the filtration, protection and drainage functions of geotextile. Our products can be manufactured according to GB/T, ASTM, ISO, and other standards, and all raw materials are pure new resin.
Production Process: Thermal bonding process, under precisely controlled temperature and pressure conditions, causes the interface between the geotextile and the geomembrane to partially melt and bond, forming a robust composite structure.
Quality Control: The entire production process is monitored by automation. Strict factory inspections are conducted, to ensure that key quality control points (such as peel strength, coefficient of variation of mass per unit area, width deviation rate, etc.) fully comply with the standards.
After-sales Service: We have over one million square meters of construction experience, and our team can provide on-site construction services. We also offer remote technical guidance to assist with welding and construction.
Advantages
- Excellent mechanical properties: Compared with single-layer geomembrane and geotextile, the puncture strength and tear strength are greatly improved.
- The interface between the geomembrane and geotextile is firmly bonded: peel strength ≥ 6 N/cm
- Excellent resistance to chemical corrosion
- Construction efficiency has been greatly improved

- Channel and Reservoir Seepage Control:
- Geocomposites are the mainstream solution for seepage control in irrigation channels, open water conveyance channels, and reservoir basins. The geotextile layer is in direct contact with the soil, acting as a filter for drainage; the membrane layer bears the primary responsibility for seepage control.
- Landfill Covering Systems:
- In landfill cover layers, geocomposites serve as a seepage barrier between the final cover soil and the drainage layer. The geotextile surface protects the membrane while simultaneously guiding rainfall.
- Elevations and Riverbank Protection:
- In river regulation and levee reinforcement projects, geocomposites are laid under the retaining riprap to prevent seepage in the levee during high water levels, while the geotextile layer acts as a filter to retain soil.
- Artificial Lakes and Landscape Water Bodies:
- Urban landscape water bodies, golf course water hazards, and ecological wetlands require high levels of environmental friendliness and aesthetic appeal in their seepage control materials. Geocomposites can be laid directly on compacted soil, with the geotextile surface providing a good foundation for vegetation attachment.
- Tunnel and Underground Engineering Seepage Control:
- A geocomposite is laid between the initial support and secondary lining of the tunnel. The geotextile side faces the surrounding rock to guide seepage and protect the waterproof membrane; the membrane side faces the secondary lining to form the final waterproof layer.
- Tailgating Dams and Heap Leaching Sites:
- Mining engineering projects have extremely high requirements for the puncture resistance and aging resistance of seepage control materials. The high strength characteristics of long-filament geocomposites are particularly advantageous in such scenarios.
